Outdoor Experiences
Mount Fuji:
One-Day Summit Climb
Climb Japan’s most iconic peak via the Fuji-Yoshida or Sunabashiri Trail, starting from the 5th Station.
We will stay one night in a traditional Japanese mountain hut before we begin our ascent in the early morning. After the first few hours, we will witness the sunrise over the clouds — a truly unforgettable experience.
After enjoying the crater summit, we descend back to the 5th Station. Same-day return transport to Tokyo or any other destination of your choice will be arranged by Okutabi. Our Head Guide, Ricardo Onoma, will accompany you throughout the entire experience, from start to finish.

Cycle across the legendary Shimanami Kaido, a spectacular island route connecting Honshu and Shikoku through the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea.
Along the way, we cross six elegant suspension bridges high above deep maritime blue water, passing quiet fishing villages and citrus-covered islands that define the culture of the Seto region. Fresh seafood and the gentle rhythm of coastal life accompany us throughout the journey.
For the classic experience, we spend the night in a traditional Japanese minshuku with onsen, allowing time to rest, soak, and enjoy the local cuisine. For stronger riders, the full route can also be completed comfortably in a single day.

Temple Stay & Sunrise Hike
Experience a peaceful night and morning in one of Japan’s most important Buddhist temple mountains.
We begin with arrival at Kuon-ji Temple, the spiritual center of Nichiren Buddhism. Here you will stay overnight in a traditional temple lodging, enjoying a quiet evening surrounded by cedar forests and crystal clear mountain air.
Early the next morning, we join the morning prayer ceremony with the monks before hiking up the sacred slopes of Mount Minobu for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. A pilgrimage that has been done for centuries.
After descending, return transportation to the city can be arranged by taxi or train, completing the journey comfortably within one day after the temple stay.

Step back into the Edo period on one of Japan’s most beautifully preserved historic routes.
We begin with pick-up at the nearest train station and transfer to Magome, a perfectly restored post town where wooden inns, narrow lanes, and mountain silence set the atmosphere. From there, we walk the scenic forest trail over Magome Pass. Approximately 8 km of gentle climbs, waterfalls, cedar woods, and rural countryside.
The trail leads us up into Tsumago, dramatically perched along a stone-paved slope with sweeping valley views. After time to explore and enjoy the town, a private taxi transfer takes you back to the train station, all comfortably completed within one day.

Whenever possible, we guide our tours personally to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience. When schedules or locations make this difficult, we rely on a trusted network of professional guides who share the same standards.
Through this network, we offer guidance in German, Japanese, English, French, and Russian. In the days leading up to your tour, we also provide round-the-clock support to assist with planning, logistics, and any questions.
A full day of premium guiding (up to 8 hours) costs
¥45,000 (approximately $300, or the equivalent in the client’s local currency). This price is per group, not per person.
Within the well-known “Golden Route” regions of Kansai region and Kanto region, this is a fixed guiding fee. For locations further away, the guide’s transportation costs may need to be covered separately, depending on the destination.
